He was into the magic arts, and fell down a dark road of hopelessness, and did not care about anything at all. but himself, and had been deceived by the devil. He is not one to be underestimated. Jesus says this by telling his disciples to pray, lest they fall into temptation. Jesus has set him free, and he is now growing in the spirit.
