Mohamad FaridiHi I am Hafizur Rahaman Mondal. Came to know Lord Jesus Christ from a Bengali Muslim background, near Kolkata, West Bengal, North 24 Parganas. Place call Basirhat, At the age of 17 through the radio program I came to know about Jesus in the year 1989. Those times I was a student then became secretary of the local village mosque.
I am not happy with what I was doing those times. No peace in my mind as a Muslim. So I went to many places to find out the peace, Like Hindu temples and many more places to find the true God. But I couldn’t find anything. I became a peaceless, worried, hopeless person. I thought there was no true God.
In my area where I was born and brought up that sounding area only Muslims and few Hindu populations. No Christians in my area. In my childhood I never met Christian people or believers. My mind was Christians means foreigners, they are looking very good handsome tall. Then in 1991 I met a Christian believer in my area, then we both became very close friends, that way whatever question I was having my mind he tried to answer me on the biblical basics.Then 1992 October 25th I took baptism.
After the baptism I have gone through lots of difficulties village people came to know I became a true follower of Christ, means Christian. Then they (village people) tried to kill me, even though they came to our house. But by the grace of God I came to know through some friends they are coming then I ran away from the village, my relatives, friends no one helped me even the pastor (Church)
Then I went to Kolkata city, where I became a security guard at one of the factories. Nothing was with me only one Bengali Bible and a few clothes. It was a very bad and sad situation The day and night I was working only at ₹450 I was getting it monthly.
Then I decided to know more about Jesus and the Bible, so I joined Bible College without any sponsor. In 1991 I received my B.Sc (Biology) degree. In 1996 I did my M. Div degree. Then M. A in Counseling, and many others courses. Like DCPC, CLHTC, extra.
Even though I left the house, I was having a relationship with my family. My father accepts Lord Jesus then my brother, who is pastor in my area. Through my area many many Muslims at present follow the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank God for that. All glory to Jesus.
At present I am in Bangalore Karnataka state South India, doing ministry among the sick people like hospital ministry as well I do ministry with migraine workers and Muslims background people’s.
Then this is my goal… Romans 15:20, But I have always tried to preach where people have never heard about Christ. I am like a builder who doesn’t build on someone else’s foundation.
