Born and raised in the Muslim faith, Mehdi grew up practicing Islam, the only path he had ever known. But God had a greater plan for Mehdi’s life. Through a series of divine encounters, including meeting a Canadian pastor who prayed with him and marrying Lucille, a woman whose faith journey sparked his curiosity about Christianity, Mehdi began to question everything he thought he knew. After their marriage, Mehdi and Lucille became close friends with a couple who had also left Islam to follow Jesus. This couple shared the Gospel, stories from the Bible, and encouraged Mehdi to seek God in prayer. One life-changing gift—a Bible in Farsi—opened Mehdi’s eyes to the truth he had been searching for. He and Lucille couldn’t ignore the transformation happening in their lives and soon surrendered to Christ, being baptized together on the shores of the Persian Gulf. Today, Mehdi serves as a pastor, passionately sharing the message of salvation in Jesus Christ. He knows firsthand that when we seek God with all our hearts, we will find Him.
