After being approached by a Muslim in the prison yard who was impressed by his name, Kareem was introduced to Islam. For years, he followed the teachings he was given, but he was discouraged from asking questions. He was told that unless he was a native Arabic speaker, he could never truly understand the Quran, even if he learned the language. Blind faith was expected, but deep inside, he longed for the truth.
Kareem spent 28 years in prison—most of them as a Muslim. But in his final 13 years behind bars, everything changed. It was inside prison that his eyes were opened to Jesus Christ, thanks to the Kairos Prison Ministry.
What is Kairos Prison Ministry?
Kairos Prison Ministry is a Christian outreach program that brings the love and hope of Jesus Christ to incarcerated individuals. It was through Kairos’ powerful ministry that Jesus revealed Himself to Kareem. He came to see that it was not Islam, but the miracle-working power of Jesus that could change his heart, break his chains, and give him true freedom.
Through mighty signs and wonders, Christ delivered him from spiritual bondage and ultimately led him out of prison—both physically and spiritually.
Today, Kareem is an ordained pastor and the founder of Eternity and You Global Ministries, where he shares the message of salvation, redemption, and the life-changing power of Jesus.
